One Another

The single most telling indicator of a person’s moral character has nothing to do with the data they believe about God or how they worship God, and everything to do with how they treat others.  Of course, it’s easy to be judgmental and harsh if you believe that God is judgmental and harsh; at least there’s some cognitive consistency there.  I can never understand, however, how a person can claim to worship a loving and forgiving God and yet be so critical and callous toward others.  God’s nature is to forgive and teach, not condemn and punish.
